Hundreds – “Solace”: SXSW 2011 Showcasing Artiste
Apologies for randomness of the blogs re content but hey a little bit of everything is good for the soul I think and why not re-enforced what talented people are already doing.
I hope you take the time to go on youtube, vimeo and other blog related sites as to get a full flava of what SXSW is all about and why we all should be there in 2012.
Taken By Storm: SXSW 2011
As images get recoded into zeros and ones and the world disappears into digital folders, for over forty years using record cover albums as his canvas, Storm Thorgerson has produced some of the most visually arresting images in popular culture – eschewing computer manipulation in his quest to “do it for real”. With intimate interviews and footage of Thorgerson and never seen before material, TAKEN BY STORM: THE ART OF STORM THORGERSON AND HIPGNOSIS, is a film about one man’s creative journey in pursuit of his artistic vision at the intersection of art, commerce, and technological change.
Hot gadgets and games at SXSW 2011
Back from my travels and at times as a amateur blogger words alone cannot be enough, so please watch the Vid as it saves me from writing:D & it will touch on some of the latest gadge coming your way or some cases already arrived and will be this summer musthaveit2.0.
Nintendo 3DS finally arrive on UK shelves.
Brand new consoles don’t come around too often, so we’re excited that this month sees the Nintendo 3DS finally arrive on UK shelves.
The new handheld, with its no-glasses three-dimensional screen, will launch with a stack of day-one games. So there’s going to be a lot to choose from in March.
But things are hotting up for home consoles, too, with the likes of Homefront, Crysis 2 and Fight Night Champion all coming out this month.
This game’s highly rated predecessor was one of the last games released for PlayStation 2, and dipped under the radar of many gamers already unwrapping their shiny new PS3s. Hopefully the same fate won’t befall this sequel, released on DS a week before Nintendo unleashes its new 3DS handheld. Expect more beautiful Japanese graphics and clever action-adventure gameplay.
Apple’s iHoloPhone
Just looking into my crystal ball and I see all things Holographic. We know it is possible, it is indeed here, CGI is transforming how we all look at our world. Ipad 2 might well be the new must have toy today but for how long until we actually interact with our content like this>>>>>>>

The Future of gaming maybe????
Slightly off message but still worth a looksy, quite a few different vid’s on this and some very interesting comments posted to say the least. Also a video on how its actually done.
2011 The Year of the 8 Bit Superhero
2011 the year of the sequel, prequel, 5th installment of that super hero or 3rd of this superhero saving the world from itself or its alter ego. Throughout the summer 2011 we will be bedazzled in 3D pictures & Dolby sound all that CGI producers can hit us with. Now a Comic Book movie cannot exist nowadays without a game being attached or a game being made into a movie, so what if all these movies were turned into 8 bit games for the NES, now that would be cool and thanks to comic alliance we have an idea of what they would look like.
And The Winner is
Muchas Congrats to Colin Firth and The King’s Speech. We are all very proud of you and a special follow mention up for Natalie Portman, well done love, a true masterclass in acting… PsMichelle Williams your next:)) A Truely great night for the British Film Industry.
The Oscars in Lego
The award season finale is shortly upon us and various Lego students have paid the nominee’s the ultimate respect. Yes their movies cast in Lego. I too like many have been happily entertained by watching these fine films and if Natalie Portman does not win Best Actress for Black Swan then we all should pack it in and call it a day. And the winners are>>>>>> Well Lego of course:))
